We officially started our racing season with a great day at the Albany Racing Club with seven hotly contested affairs.
Paul Hunter got the day rolling, training the first three winners of the program, with Lady Gondo (above) securing the loot in the Albany Stockfeeds Maiden.
Heeza Beau was almost a carbon-copy of the stablemate's victory in the Aidinville Premium Grains Maiden after a solid trial on home-soil, with Candijay also producing a similar effort in the Western Hay Handicap. Jonathon Jachmann broke the Hunter/Whiting party up when he produced a quinella in the Hygain Release Handicap with Rock Of Kaha beating Annihilator by a shortening margin.
The first of the Bayliss trained winners was FInal Siren in the O'Driscoll Chaff Handicap, beating the stable-mate Hot Chatter.
Bayliss also rounded out the meeting in a big way with Beau Zoom in the T&R Hi-Performance Muesli Handicap over 1100m.
Previously, Steve Wolfe and Natasha Faithful combined to take out the TABtouch Regional Championship: The Road To Ascot with Cable Boy.
A big thank you to everyone who came down and officially kicked off our racing season in style!
Our next meeting is on Thursday, November 30!
