The richest race on the WA Country Racing Calendar has been fascinating to watch unfold from the outset.
With two of the initial slot holders needing to find replacement chargers, and the quality of horses nominated, the inaugural $350,000 The Bluff Knoll Slot Race, powered byt Wellington & Reeves, is set to be some sort of affair!
Today three more announcements have been made, with Inswing Sprtsbar naming the Gangemi Racing trained Some Sort, a winner of four from 23 and over $180,000 + bonuses, for the race.
Gangemi Racing named one of their own for the sprint race, Thomas Magnum. With three wins under his belt all coming over 1000m - this speedseter is well placed in the Bluff Knoll.
Morton Racing has nominated 4yo gelding Saloon Bar for their slot. The Oakland Park owned son of Sessions will be looking to add to his tally of over $330,000 of stakes an bonuses in the Great Southern.
"We're looking forward to the challenge of taking on some of WA's finest in the first-ever Bluff Knoll..." Morton Racing said on Facebook.
These three gallopers join Oscar's Fortune, Acromantula, Gemmas Son, Laced up Heels, Songaa, and Strathmore Rose in the field,
